I made an appointment for free estimate for annual termite inspections since my previous Termite & Pest Control Company went out of business. Mr. Daniels/Technician inspected my honme from to the Attic, crawl spaces and the basement for active termites and dampness in the structure. . After Mr. Daniel's discussed all issues from the photos taken, I was very pleased, Orkin will be servicing my home .

Really not a fan of their program. We spent 257 dollars for the first treatment, and 60 dollars a month for the following treatments. Our guy only showed up for less than 5 minutes on our initial indoor treatment, and several hours late. I told them at the beginning of November that Id like to cancel, and I haven't received any treatments since September. Their policy requires I pay for November and December still, even though the treatment is scheduled weeks out and I'm requesting to cancel. Doesn't make sense to me, but it is what it is. Id recommend elsewhere

We’ve been loyal Orkin customers for many years and have always appreciated the excellent service provided by our technician. However, I wanted to share some feedback about a recent experience with the front office. When we called to cancel our service, we were told that the additional services we wanted could be included with our current plan at no extra charge if we stayed. Based on that, we continued our service but were later charged for those services. During a more recent call about an influx of bugs, the receptionist, Miko, revisited that old conversation — which wasn’t related to my reason for calling — and later brought up a supposed missed payment. Her tone came across as condescending, almost as if she wanted to assert authority rather than assist. Our payments are automatically drafted, and we hadn’t been notified of any issue prior to that call. While our technician has always been great, the tone and approach from the front office have made communication uncomfortable. I hope this feedback helps improve professionalism and customer care moving forward, as we truly value the quality of Orkin’s on-site service.

Help came shortly after we called! Both Chris Snead and Chris Lamb were very knowledgeable about cockroaches and how to eliminate them. Chris S. surveyed the problem, finding all the areas inside and out that needed to be addressed. He wrote them up for Chris L who came just as Chris S was leaving. Chris L then went to work. We feel VERY confident about Orkin and their training of their workers.

He patiently explained everything and answered our many questions (after a very thorough inspection of our crawlspace and property on an incredibly hot and humid day). When relocating to Newport News, we have used this company for many years. We had absolutely no problems in our previous state. However, the manager of this location, authorized an employee to call my husband and tell him he is not eligible to have a contract with them, and that he can only have a month-to-month rate due to the fact that he was late on paying one bill in early 2024. We have never been spoken to by any company in this manner. We wanted to warn others that apparently the manager at this location makes independent, arbitrary decisions about who who will be given certain contracts, and who will not. I wanted to warn other people and put a review while it was fresh on my mind. Not sure if this is Orkin’s Approved policy, but I may check into it. Luckily, there are other companies that would value your business. You may want to consider them. We were excited to maintain our relationship with this company because we had a good one In our previous state. I guess this is how Orkin is unfortunately operating in Virginia.
