Don’t hire them. They are expensive, not professional and have left an absolute mess everywhere. We hired them over two weeks ago for a rat problem in our basement. They talked us into insulation in the crawl space and re-doing insulation in the attic (preventative, no evidence of rats or mice there) with removal of the old. The exclusion was unsuccessful, the rats just dug new holes and they have not come by to fix those. On top, they had me clean out the space first. Plus, the first team has dropped a paint bucket in the basement and roughly cleaned the surface but left the tiles, wall and grout stained without informing me as if I wouldn’t notice. The attic is even worse, with insulation covering entirely everything that was left up there plus it rained through the A/C vents into our bedrooms below. This was left as is, making the space and everything within basically unusable. This is not only a hazard to us, but also to our 9 month old baby that has now rashes all over her back. If this is the way they work for 8k, then I would have at least liked to be informed about the mess in order to take preventative measures prior myself (close the vents, remove all items in the attic). The inspector, Bonnie, is aware and I have been trying to get each issue fixed for several days now, but see no urgency from their side. I have also tried to reach the supervisor and branch manager Stephen, but also he has not showed any courage to contact me. I am dreading being forced to sign up for their mosquito service subscription on top of all.

Never again would I use this company. I called them to take care of mice. The first guy that came out told me I had to clean up the mouse poop and sanitize the area, handed me a bunch of sticky traps and left. When I called to find out exactly what I was paying them for, they sent out an “inspector”. He told me all of the insulation in the attic and basement needed to be removed and replaced, to the tune of $13,000. The guys that came out to do that job were initially very good. However, they pointed out other areas that the inspector had never even mentioned. The second day, they were two hours late because they had a flat tire. Ok, stuff happens right? The third day, I was told they had been sent to a different job. The fourth day, they were supposed to be there at 10. By 11 I had heard nothing and called the guy. He had “misplaced ” the keys to his truck and was waiting for someone to bring him another set. By 2, still hadn’t heard anything and reached out again, he was still waiting. He finally showed up after 4. Then I had to call the inspector to come make sure the job was done correctly, and he was supposed to give me snap traps. He never answers his phone! I call the office and they say a manager will have to call me back. I have yet to receive a call back (it’s been over a week), and I am tired of calling them. I told them I wanted to drop the contract, which I realized was easy because they had yet to send me one. This was a really expensive lesson, and I will definitely be looking elsewhere in the future. Maybe they were reputable at one time, but their customer service has gone to hell! Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time or money on Orkin!
