Terminix does a pretty good job on their pest control service. They show up on time and as promised, usually sending a text the day before. They do a good job, seem pretty thorough, and let us know about any issues they come across. We have had their service many years and really have had a pretty good experience with them. The issue going forward for me is that the price has just gone up. Again. And it's not cheap.
Having said all that about the pest service the animal exclusion side of the terminix business is the absolute worst. This is a separate service that is pretty costly upfront. And then a yearly critter removal and maintenance program for an ongoing yearly fee. In exchange for your hard earned dollars they agree to remove the critter and repair or patch the entrance and exit holes caused by the critter. Good luck with that! If you are thinking about this service do not under any circumstances use this company! They are the absolute worst!
When you need the service they will gladly set an appointment. And sometimes they will actually show up. Sometimes. When they do you will likely hear "oh I don't have a ladder". Sometimes when they do show and actually seal the hole so the animals can't get in anymore, they actually seal the animal in and you will get to hear it scraping and scratching trying to get out for the next few days. And while you are frantically calling trying to get somebody back out to let the squirrel out that they sealed in, you won't be able to actually get in touch with anybody that can actually do anything. What you will get is a call center who will put you on hold while they fake call the tech in the field. They never seem to reach them but they leave a message. And of course they are happy to set an appointment for you. 4 days from now. Meanwhile the squirrel is either chewing its way out somewhere else or- slowly dying in the sealed trap. So 4 days later you take off work to be there. The tech texts at 8:30 a.m. to let you know he's on his way. Between 8-12 right. By 1:30 you are calling the terminix number and of course it a call center. You can't actually reach anybody in the local office. They express concern and once again reach out to the field tech. Not hearing back they say they sent a message to the manager too and that I should expect a call directly. Ha! By 3:00 you are calling again. This time you are told that the appointment has been canceled. Amazing! No reason, just that it's been canceled. But they can schedule an appointment for you if you like.
Sound like a company that you want to be involved with for your critter control? Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these folks.
I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me and get somebody out here to fix this hole. The squirrel did get out on its own. But this is just the latest on a series of empty promises and issues not resolved by this company. Don't get sucked in like we did, do some research, look at their reviews and go elsewhere.

So it's now been three weeks since this post. Terminix reached our to me one time by phone. I've since left 5 messages with no return call.
I'm convinced this is by design. That if they come out and service the contract then they are losing money. The money that has been paid upfront, the very expensive money paid upfront. So why would they want to send a service person out. I'm sure they figure that by doing so costs them money. Unlike the pest control side that has to actually provide ongoing service because they get paid monthly or quarterly or whatever it is. So if the animal exclusion side can ignore the customer, provide no way to actually talk with a responsible manager rather than a call center that promises you the world. . Flake on appointments. Do shoddy work, including trapping animals in. Then eventually you as a customer will give up in frustration. Saving them money by once again, not actually providing service.
So do yourself a favor. Do not use these folks.

We've used their termite protection for years following an infestation. Service and warranty are good. Annual contract pricey, though.

I called to cancel service in January. They said they would and came out to remove the termite bait stations. I received a statement in the mail in February for the bait stations that are no longer there and the service I cancelled.
When I call, they don’t have record of my January call to cancel service. Online, the January service report doesn’t note the removal of the bait stations, it says they were checked. I ask the CSR today to cancel my service. She hung up before I could ensure the statement balance owing is removed.
It took a 3rd call to sort out the statement balance.
Would NOT recommend.

I could not have had a worse experience with Terminix. They charge you for services (whether they are allowable or not), and then make it impossible to talk to anyone with authority to fix any issues. Multiple times I called to cancel service and they still sent out tech and charged me close to $ 200.00 in December to treat outside of house. Save yourself the headache and find another company for pest control needs.

My service person is awesome. The only problem I have is that I do not know when they are coming. I only get a text message when they are on their way. If I am not home then the dog may be out. I would appreciate 24 hour notice.

This was the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a business. They were dishonest with the package they sold us (they sold us a package intended for commercial locations with roach issues without explaining any of that aspect of the package/pricing).
They also tried to sneak in additional charges when previously told visits were covered under our quarterly plan. Next to impossible to get anyone on the phone to discuss the issues and resolve them. Nightmare customer service and the technician wouldn’t show up for appointments. Avoid this company, extremely unethical in their practices.

I could not have had a worse experience with Terminix. They basically scam people out of money, don't show up for appointments during the prescribed windows (or even days), charge you for services (whether they are allowable charges per the contract or not), and then make it impossible to talk to anyone with authority to fix any issues. This company is dishonest and unethical. The only way I was able to get someone to actually respond to my concerns was by going through the better business bureau. Prior to that I had requested multiple times to speak to someone from the local branch office (that apparently is the only person able to make any decisions - no one from the customer service line can do anything), and every request was denied. They literally wouldn't even take the time to call me in person to say my request for a CALL BACK was denied - I had to call customer service and find out from them. Save yourself the headache and find another company for pest control needs.

David Anthony my technician, does a great job. He always lets me know when he is coming and upon arriving he always asks if there is anything else he can do for me. He goes the extra mile to satisfy his customers. Thanks Dave!

Terminix is well known in the pest control industry for a reason. They are reachable and responsive. The technicians are courteous and knowledgeable. They answer every question. I believe the service is reasonably priced. They do what they say they will do.

Never use this company. They are completely dishonest and are just trying to take advantage of people and get as much money as they possibly can. We had someone come out to do a general home inspection and he didn't find any sign of termites but went into our attic and told us that we had signs of mice and needed to spend $10,600 to clean up the problem and prevent it from happening again. We got a second opinion from a local company. The local company went up into the attic and said there were no signs of a problem. His pictures were even different from those that terminix took, meaning the terminix inspector lied and showed me fake pictures. Thank goodness we had the wits about us to get a second opinion before we went in debt that much money. Completely unprofessional and disgraceful.
