A couple weeks ago, inspector Dixon pointed out evidence of mice in our attic. We contracted with Orkin to remove the 48 year old insulation, seal up holes, and install new pest resistant insulation. The crew completed everything today as scheduled. It was a dirty, hot job for them, but they took care to keep our house and yard clean. Nice to know the attic is in better shape now. Hopefully we’ll save some money on heating and cooling.

I use Orkin for regular treatment around my home. Yesterday I came home from work and saw Ants in my kitchen. I called the gaithersburg office and they sent Allen out to help us out promptly. I will continue to use this service and recommend them to family and friends! Great service!

Steve was absolutely amazing! He checked every part of my house and managed to find a hole that 3 other techs missed! I huge hole that was under my AC unit coming into my house! AND HE FOUND IT IN THE DARK! He is so experienced and knowledgeable and even educated me along the way! He is perfectly meticulous everyone he comes in my home and treats. We just had a preventative termite treatment, saturating the dirt that will be covered with concrete as our addition is being built. Mike, the manager, Andrew (I'm terrible with names, I hope that I'm remembering that correctly), and another tech were personable and professional and got the job done! We are very pleased with this step forward in the construction process.

We have been Orkin customers for quite a while and though the technicians have been professional and tried to be helpful, Orkin has been unable to resolve an ongoing issue with mice and the customer service has greatly deteriorated. I've repeatedly been told a manager would either come to our house or call me back and repeatedly have had no return call and the manager has been a no show for a scheduled appointment. Another time that someone came out, they tried to upsell us on other services and did nothing to address the current issue they were sent to help with. I've also repeatedly asked for Orkin to honor it's money back guarantee to refund our last service payment because of their inability to resolve the issue we hired them to address and they refuse to honor the guarantee. I strongly encourage others to seek pest control services elsewhere and not waste time and money on this company as we have done.

My experience with Orkin started off well, with high hopes of finally getting rid of a persistent fruit fly problem in our home. However, everything took a nosedive during the initial appointment, and I'm compelled to share my disappointment. The technician arrived on time and seemed knowledgeable about pest control, which initially put me at ease. However, the appointment took an unpleasant turn when the technician, rather than addressing the issue professionally, made a shocking and inappropriate comment. He actually had the audacity to suggest that my son was the one attracting the fruit flies by making a mess. He went on to lecture us about our child's behavior, implying that our parenting was the root of the problem. This unprofessional behavior was not only offensive but entirely uncalled for. Even more astonishing was the technician's "solution" to the fruit fly problem. He advised us that if our son couldn't learn to be neater, we should simply put vinegar in a water bottle and consider it a day. I expected a professional and effective pest control service, not parenting advice and a makeshift remedy. This response was not only dismissive but also showed a complete lack of interest in addressing the actual pest problem at hand. To say that I was thoroughly disappointed by this experience would be an understatement. Orkin's initial technician displayed a lack of professionalism, customer service, and expertise, and I felt belittled and disrespected throughout the appointment. This is far from the level of service one would expect from a reputable pest control company, and it has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I cannot recommend Orkin based on this experience and sincerely hope that the company addresses such unacceptable behavior and attitudes among its technicians. And I was also charged for the service fee for no reason or help.

Today, We received service from Mike (part time and older. Gentleman). He was very thorough and we had great conversation. He did not make me feel uncomfortable at all ( unlike the previous guy). I wish Mike would always be the service guy that came to my house.

I called at 4am and was able to have a technician come out the same day - he was even able to come early! The technician I was assigned was very patient with me, he explained everything thoroughly - he was just very kind as he could tell I was very anxious about the mouse issue. I’d recommend to anyone if they asked. I’m very appreciative of the customer service as well as the technician and his customer service skills as well.

Steve the Orkin Technician was very accommodating to us by agreeing to a very small arrival window and when we still could not arrive home , he then agreed again to spray the front of our house and the back (which he had to climb a hill to get to) . After that he offered to come back at a later date to spray the inside of our house if need. I was very pleased with the communication from Orkin and I would recommend them to anyone. Darian and Kyia
