“I usually have up to 3 vendors interviewed for services. I've had experienced some very bad (after the fact revelations) but E.J. Steen has been a pure pleasure AND extremely honest! Other vendors tried to pull "fast one" bids and reports which really makes me angry! E.J. Steen has a family business that shows sincerity and professionalism! He was asked to find any evidence of either carpenter ants or termites. One vendor presented a cell phone photo (supposedly from my crawlspace) of termite evidence. E.J. absolutely was there with his assistant and after a through inspection of the entire exterior AND crawlspace found no evidence of any kind. The same other "crooked vendor" also found some small amounts of brown mold. So did E.J. and he said that he would be able to treat this problem with a heavy dose of two types of chemicals where it would kill all issues, (only found in the crawlspace) even though he treated all the foundation areas inside and out. He asked me to use my large box fan to help ventilate the crawlspace for 4-6 months! My bill was considerably less than the contractor who was trying to charge for 2 types of services for carpenter ants & termite conditions that didn't exist! He said that the chemicals for the mold would certainly kill any insects and that he would come back in 6 months to check out the crawlspace. I can't tell you how refreshing his honesty and informational knowledge meant to me. His service saved me thousands of dollars! Nowadays, honesty is hard to find, due to so much greed in this world.
