“I had a bird problem in the exhaust pipe leading out from my bathroom fan. My home warranty company uses them so I don't think I had a choice about whick company came out. The first guy they sent out said he couldn't find anything. He mistakenly said that the vent from the bathroom lead out to the attic above the garage, and ignored me when I said that didn't sound right. If he'd just bothered to get up on a ladder and lift the flap on the external vent cover he probably could have seen the nest without a flashlight. The second person that came out was a woman, and she seemed to really know her stuff. She made it clear to me that the warranty wasn't going to cover the extraction of birds, and instead of charging me she just told me how to do it myself for free. I learned a lot from her; she was really awesome, unlike the first guy (who seemed confident, but was just lazy). Luckily, the nest wasn't finished being built, and there were no eggs in it. Apparently there are some restrictions in Austin protecting the nests of certain birds, and you're not supposed to remove a nest if there are eggs in it. Long story short, if you want to use this company, ask for Becky.”
