“totally awesome”

“We aquire the lawn treatment services of Champion in May of 2016. Our back yard had new sod, St. Augustine, installed in March of 2016. Our reason for using Champion Pest Management services was cost, and treatment recommendations which appeared, at the time, professional. My stipulation for the service was to maintain the investment, $1800 of newly laid sod, as well as the overal appearance of the remaining lawn for a 12 month period, before reviewing results. This in my opinion was ample time to produce results. Unfortunately, our grass in the back yard has been slowly but surely regressing to the point where 30% of the sod may have to be replaced. I know we have been going through a drought, but my sprinkler system is fully efficient, and it is delivering the necessary amounts of water for the sod to survive through this period. The real issue is that our technician, nice guy, upon requesting a meeting about the reason why the sod is deteriorating went from stating that root rot, fungus, and to his final admission: "I don't know what is wrong with your sod, and if you get another service, would you please contact me and let me know what the issue is". Well, that I may still do like I said the technician is a nice guy, but the lack of communication and results leaves me, the home owner, with the mess. I was told upon the last meeting that he thinks it is fungus and when I asked why it was not treated, the response was that is extra. At no point that I can recall was I told, you need to treat for fungus and it will cost you x amount. If I was told that on receipt of service, then it is my fault, but point is I do not recall that and I did get a second opinion on the fungus situation. The answer is no fungus apparent, remember we are in a drought, and the watering stations is operating early morning, not night time at 40 min per zone twice a week. I think that is within regulations. So, I feel potential customers should be more vigilant in communicating with Champion, but more so on the providers side. We all work hard for our money, so does the technician, but it is a disappointing experience.”
