“Very impressed with Jose's knowledge and ethics: I saw that Jose at The Critter Trapper was well rated on Yelp and gave him a call when I found maggots crawling up through our kitchen floor, expecting they were probably coming from a dead animal under the house. He patiently explained to me that if there was a dead animal, it was likely very small like a rat, and was probably already pretty completely decomposed. He determined that it was probably quite small since I didn't notice any foul smell, and since for the maggots to get through the floorboards, the dead animal had to be in the structure, hence it needed to be quite small. Furthermore, for the maggots to be crawling away, there must be nothing left for them to eat, hence any such small animal is already in the last stage of decomposition, and there is really no need for removal. Indeed, we cleaned up the maggots and there were no more appearing after that! So a very satisfactory outcome for us. This tells me that Jose really knows his trade well, and that he has the ethics to turn away business when it is not necessary. That is pretty unusual. I would think that he will do a very good job for you.”
