This was the second visit by Orkin after my sign up. The first was on sept 5th. The techs never called me half an hour before arrival as I had requested via the dispatcher. Today, the tech actually called me to verify property address before showing up and I asked him to call me 30 min before arrival and he still never did! In fact, the only way I knew that he came and left is because of an email I received stating that the visit was completed and that he has already left. Absolutely ridiculous! As this is a 4-unit property, there are instructions on how to access each of them which have to be relayed to the tech upon arrival! He only serviced one unit and took off! What’s the point of spending more than hour on the phone when opening an account with VERY pointed, methodical and specific directives if they are not to be followed. Waste of time! Very disjointed communication between office, tech and client! Extremely disappointed! Buyer beware!

I have had a termite contract with Orkin for a few years. Contacted them for rodent issues. The guy calls me and tells me that it’s going to be expensive not knowing me from a hole in the wall. He tells me he was going to come the next day, but he never showed up, so I called a competitor and happy I did. They showed up and took care of me for the rodent issue. After this experience I cancelled the termite contract as well and switched to a competitor. Orkin is so good that someone showed up today saying he is here to do his inspection!!! Their right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing. Ironically I received an inspection report even though they didn’t do the inspection. I have no idea how they stay in business.

If you are considering this service. DONT. The Lanham #312 branch is the absolute worst. The managers do not call you back, the technicians do not show up on scheduled service dates. They do not care if you have rearranged your schedule to accommodate their techs and their schedules. I had an appointment that was rescheduled on 5 different occasions, 3 of those were because no one showed up to do a service that has already been paid for. I haven't had service at my apartment complex since May which is not what I was understood to be paying for. Im really disappointed in the service (or lack thereof) that I have received as this appointment has been getting cancelled and rescheduled since July. I DO appreciate the office staff Kim Jones who did her best to help me. However, she is at the mercy of the technicians and the managers.

We had a great experience, and we have some challenges that Orkin and Ed Francis handle like a pro. We are a contractor on a naval base and had an infestation of fleas in the office. So, we needed this address ASAP, Ed made it happen the same day which is not easy because we need to get them passes to get on base. It was a lot of work, but Ed handled it all. We had a young technician show up to service our office. Dathan Hunter was awesome he was very polite and professional. He serviced our office inside and out and it was raining hard but that was no problem for Dathan. The next day no fleas and we are back to normal. I thank the entire Orkin team for a job well done. Keep up the good work.
