Gregory was fine but your office receptionist was not called and told her I had an appointment so we needed to move it. She said she would call today to reschedule, she didn’t relay that information made me late for my appointment. Plus she argued with me that they could treat the traps outside. I told her no you can’t they are buried in snow. Finally someone piped in that must have been listening to her and told her I was right. She needs more training on communication, and knowledge on how the treatment works. Maybe take the people answering the phones in the field so they understand.

Maybe other technicians are better, but look for another company or technician if you get Chris Morse
A couple weeks ago, I called Orkin about mice in my rental house. I had an initial inspection scheduled for a Friday, and the inspection along with recommendations and an estimate was supposed to be emailed to me that day. Monday, I called to follow up because I never received the email. Chris Morse emailed me the same day, but all the inspection included was pictures, no recommendations or estimates. I replied asking for those and no response. Tuesday I called asking for that information and said Chris would get back to me. By Friday I still haven’t heard anything, so I gave them one more call before looking for another option/company. Again, I was reassured he would call me back. It is now Wednesday of the following week and no word on recommendations or estimates for treating mice.

We have to see that the boxes placed do their job. Otherwise the manager and inspectors were very friendly/knowledgeable about pest control and the fees are reasonable. I’m hoping the rodents eventually leave but if not they have a plan. I chose Orkin because they are the best at what they do. The gentleman were professionals and could explain their process. I’m glad we chose Orkin!

Orkin came through like the heroes I did not know I needed. A mouse thought my garage was its personal studio apartment and even invited a few friends, but Orkin said absolutely not. They were prompt, professional, and completely unbothered by my dramatic retelling of the situation. Fast service, clear communication, and not a mouse in sight now. Highly recommend, especially if your unwanted guests have four tiny feet and zero boundaries.

Orkin was contracted by my Home Owner’s Association for assistance with what I thought would be humane removal of wildlife from my roof.
Today, Orkin came by and was up on my roof because they had caught one raccoon and one possum. Their entrance/exit ladder leans against my dining room window, so I can see them coming and going.
I witnessed the Orkin employee tossing the caged animals off of my roof down to the ground, and I watched as the cages bounced as they hit the ground. Then the Orkin staff member picked up the cages and carried them to his van and drove away.
I thought Orkin emphasized HUMANE treatment of animals but that does not appear to be the case. I do NOT recommend Orkin.

I was ao looking forward to continuing business with Orkin. They were so good in Missouri. If I could give the Champaign office zero stars, I would. I have had 3 appointments, and no one has ever showed up. You cannot call the local people, just the national call center. They don't want to schedule anyone to come look at your property and design a program to fit your needs and your property. They just want you to sign up for one size fits all. I told them I wanted a termite inspection, and set up a termite program. They've been supposed to come three times. Three times, I rushed hone to be there during their window. Three times, they have not come or called. I'm done. I don't do business when I'm consistently blown off. Look elsewhere. Not reliable.
In addition to pest control, I paid several thousand dollars to have my crawlspace encapsulated. 3 years later, I discover it was never completed, and some of what was done, was done improperly. I'm looking at having to have it completely redone. None of the work from this company can be trusted. I'm nearing 70. They knew I could not go down there to check their work, and took advantage of me. I can get no response from Orkin, local or national, that is any help at all. My old Orkin guy from Missouri, who was a franchise holder, has looked at the pictures of my crawlspace and confirmed it was not completed properly. He's tried to get the home office to respond without luck. Pictures show mess they left. You can see daylight coming through the exit for the sump pump. Outside foundations walls exposed. Debris not cleaned up.

Received service promptly and good communication regarding the appointment was maintained throughout. Ronald Brewer was very friendly and knowledgeable in his field, and I'm very satisfied with the service I received!

UPDATE (7/9/25): After writing the initial review, the branch manager (Cary) contacted me, came over to look at the concerns I share below, promised that "they would make it right," and then ghosted me. He came over a couple of times, had an idea to seal up the area where insulation is coming down into the downstairs storage closet (it's still coming through), and was going to contact someone about fixing the crack in the ceiling. After that second visit, and when I didn't hear back from him after a couple weeks, I called and left messages or was told that he was unavailable. I tried connecting with them for a month and a half, and never heard back from them.
---------------------------------------------------
We contacted Orkin because we had a squirrel stuck in our chimney and as a lover of animals, I didn’t want it to die. While our Technician, Mike, was very nice, the good experience ended with him. He told us that the squirrel in the chimney was not stuck (it was and our dog alerted us to its corpse a few days later) and that we had a dead rodent in our attic and rodent droppings. He sold us on a special insulation with boric acid so rodents would struggle to breathe and would quickly vacate because of this. However, first we needed to set traps.
We were told that trappings would happen the week of Thanksgiving, and when we realized they hadn’t been there, I called and the customer service representative (I think her name was Chris) cut me off as I tried explaining why I was calling, and told me they would probably be there next week but someone would call. We never got a call, but the traps just appeared. Then, they showed up to put a cap on our chimney. Both instances we did not need to be home, so I let it go. I thought they would at least call us to schedule a time for them to come and sanitize and insulate our attic. They did not. To my surprise, I got a call on a Monday morning that they were on their way. Thankfully I was working from home that day, but had plans in the afternoon that I had to change. When I called the office to share my frustrations, and asked to speak to the manager, the same lady answered and she proceeded to gaslight me and tell me that she spoke to my husband and scheduled it with him and that he probably just didn’t tell me. My husband never gives out his phone number, and he confirmed that after I talked to him. I called Mike and shared my frustrations with him. He said he would talk with the branch manager and have him call me. They never did.
While the technicians were sanitizing the attic, I discovered some water had dropped from our bathroom fan and there was a puddle on the lid of the toilet and around the base of the toilet. When I shared the photos with the project manager, he explained it was probably just from the toilet. I explained that probably was not the case, since water was on the lid. Again, I let it go.
After they had left, I saw fallen insulation in our under stair storage in the basement. I texted the photos to Mike and he said the project manager would call me. He never did.
Now after a couple weeks, I’ve discovered a water stain and crack on the ceiling of our guest room.
One thing after another has happened with zero communication from this company. They did however call me to get payment. I do not recommend this company. They do not communicate with you. They do not have good customer service at all, and did not do a quality job.

I can’t recommend Orkin enough! They were absolutely wonderful to me. Phil and Clint were great! They answered ALL my questions and concerns and went above and beyond to make sure my mind was at ease with my bat issue in my attic. They worked in my attic all day and made sure everything was clean, sanitized, entry points were sealed and added new insulation! I am very pleased with all the work they did! I know if I need something else down the road I will definitely call Orkin again! Thank YOU guys so much!

Clinton was very knowledgeable and gave me tips on how to keep the mice out. I am terrified of them and he made sure it has enough boxes. Very thorough and respectful. Would recommend him to anyone. Thanks for making a scary experience of mice more relaxed.
Stink Bug Strategy
Stink bugs need specialized attention to keep them from invading homes for overwintering. Orkin focuses on prevention with sealing and occasional chemical treatments as necessary, costing around $250 to $300 for a one-time service.
