Called for a pesticide treatment for stink bugs on my new home. The sold me on a 2 visit package with a guarantee for $300. First visit the guy told me it was his second time treating and to give it a few weeks to see results. I waited a few weeks then called to enact the “guarantee” as I saw no results. They quickly came out to retreat with a more qualified individual. I saw some progress. However, what I found out as I waited for my next treatment is they qualified this correction a few weeks later as the second treatment and closed the ticket. So I basically got scammed out of my second treatment I paid for. Plenty of local guys doing this for less. If you need services, skip this company.

They were very courteous, very thorough in their inspection and in the spoken information given to me while they were here. We’ve been using Orkin’s service for 10 years and we typically only see one or even zero mostly, spiders/insects in the house and just a few outside around the house between services. We tried a different service several years ago, because they promised they were better, but after just one treatment we started to have many issues that we never saw with Orkin, so we switched back. Our technician, James, is very friendly and courteous. He truly cares and does everything possible to take care of our needs. Highly recommend!

Based on these reviews, my first experience doesn’t seem to be typical but I would be in remiss if I didn’t share mine. This was for the Harrisonburg VA branch. Called them to come out for some bees that were making a home on the side of my home. They came out and sprayed something that didn’t work, so I called them to come back out, and whatever they did the second time, also didn’t work. Wasted nearly 400 dollars on that. So I bought a ladder ( it was on the outside of the second story of my house) and a couple cans of wasp and bee killer with the long shot spray. Both of which were cheaper than the service and it took care of them within 2 days. Oh well live and learn right? However, I also signed up for them to come out monthly to treat the inside and outside of my home. Apparently it was for every other month, but on the phone I was told it was monthly. First month the guy showed up about an hour and a half outside of the quoted time frame, and didn’t even come inside. Did knock. Nothing. Called them to have someone come back out to do the inside like I paid for. No one ever came. So I decided I wanted to cancel the monthly (or as I found out, bi-monthly) service. I don’t recall ever signing a contract with them but maybe I did? Probably my mistake and I’ll take that. I lightly contested it and the woman on the phone was absolutely condescending and rude even going so far as to speak slowly and annoyed, the way you would to a child, when I asked any question. Told me I signed a contract and to deal with it, only to then go ahead and cancel it just like that. It was clear she just wanted to be an ass to someone in that moment because her attitude, and the result of the call didn’t correspond with one another. I can’t imagine why an adult would think it’s appropriate to speak to another adult in that way only to do a 180 and cancel the contract anyways. My experience doesn’t seem to be typical, but it was what it was and so there’s no way I’ll be giving them my business again.
