Orkin continues to disappoint. Had a squirrel and mice in the attic. Got sold on the home exclusion work and attic vent covers. Had some cheaper quotes from local guys but Orkin said they’d be able to get out quick and do the work. Well they did about 20% of the work then left. Didn’t realize we had cameras all around the house that caught them. They tried to lie but service manager agreed work was not completed. It then took 3 weeks and dozens of phone calls to get someone to come out and finish the work. The animals are now back a month later and I just got told it would be a few days before the service manager will be able to call me to setup a date to come back out. This is not service and is not what we were sold on. Do not fall for the same lies that you will get good and timely service. Their only goal is to finish the project just enough and get on to the next one.

Recently had Orkin come out since we suspected a squirrel had gotten into the attic. Original inspector came out the next day, confirmed the squirrel in our attic and suggested a few mitigation options. We got quotes from a few other exterminators, and they were less expensive than Orkin but couldn’t come out to get the work done as quickly as Orkin, so we went with Orkin. We couldn’t be home when they came out to do the work the next day, but they had assured us the work would be done well. Well, they were wrong. The crew that came out barely was at the house an hour and did only a portion of the work that we paid for and lied that they did finish the job. When we provided proof that the work was not completed, they lied again and said they done all the work around the house but not in the side yard since there was a vicious golden retriever barking at them. We don’t own a dog, but do have a coyote archery target that does not move or bark, and is clearly a decoy/target to anyone that looks at it for more than 2 seconds. Let alone, we had proof on our security cameras that they did not do the work on the house. It’s been weeks and they still have not fixed the work and have not been helpful in remedying the situation. Not impressed at all with the “work” or lack there of that they did.

Very fast. Found a wasp nest in my basement. Called them at 10pm. They were able to show up by 11am the next day. Called guardian they were not able to do same day service. Very pleased with orkin!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I’m beyond disappointed in the “work” that was supposed to be completed at my house by Orkin. I also could sit down & cry at the price tag for this complete disaster! I’ve followed up at least 7 times between voice & online messages since 8/12/24. I’m at my wits-end for help, so all I can think to do is try to help others avoid the same mistake I made in hiring them by telling my story. They were VERY quick to come to my house & sell me $5,000 worth of services & then also very quickly scheduled the work within about 3-4 days. One item was to “clean & sanitize” and seal up my attic from wasps & other unwanted critters, then add insulation, including baffles in “at least” every other section of the rafters for proper airflow in the attic. Upon arriving home after the workers left, my jaw nearly hit the floor with the mess! There was a trail of insulation from the street where they were parked, all the way upstairs to my attic, among other litter, such as their gloves laying in the street where their truck was parked. I thankfully checked my security camera to watch the whole fiasco because I was quick to realize not one single baffle was put in, only the insulation. I called the next day & was transferred to the “manager” who quickly said he’s sure they just “forgot” (shouldn’t this be standard for ANY attic!?). He was going to send the workers back within the same week to clean up & re-do the insulation to include the baffles properly installed as promised. I have yet to hear back & this manager, nor anyone from Orkin will return my calls! I’m going on 2 weeks now of trying to get them back to finish the job! Needless to say, I had to do my own cleanup. Furthermore, they came to insect spray my property & house/deck, but I am still seeing wasps like crazy!! This was $249 in addition to the $5000 for the other stuff they were supposed to do. I was also told that I would not be billed until a manager was on-site to inspect the work, and I signed off. Let me assure you, no manager has shown up & I did NOT sign off of anything. Finally, one of the services included putting wire mesh (similar to steel wool) into every nook & cranny of the exterior of my house & deck. I’m finding very little of this anywhere & I’m still seeing wasps. However…they were prepared to stuff this material into an area that I told the salesman I had LIVE birds. There was no plan to humanely remove the birds, they apparently just planned to lock the in, suffer & die in there. Thankfully I was home long enough before I had to go back to work to tell them NOT to just kill the birds by stuffing their wire stuff in the hole! Had I not watched my security cameras, I’d have surely been billed for the baffles (baffles are about $30/ea. looking @ a big box store, plus God knows what Orkin charges for installing). I also saw no reduction in my bill for not having to deal with the live birds. I’m so frustrated! I guess the BBB is next on my list of ways to try to get resolution. Please do NOT use Orkin, or watch them CLOSELY throughout the entire step of the work if you choose to.
