If you have other options, try someone else. I never usually write negative reviews even when services were not that great. However, hiring Orkin has been frustrating to work with. When we scheduled our initial service, we were told someone was going to come out at 11-2 on a Saturday. That day comes and at this point it's almost 3pm. No one has called us to let us know if the person coming is late, or something has changed. It took me calling them multiple times before someone finally picked up and then called around to their people. Ok, fine, I get it mistakes in scheduling might happen so I gave them another chance. I was then told that someone was going to come to inspect my house. After 2 weeks, no one has come and the next Orkin pro is here to spray my house again. At first I thought she was the one coming to inspect, but she said she is just here to spray. I told her that how come the person they said that was going to contact me about inspection, never reached out. She then scheduled an appointment with the inspector for the following week on a Monday. Now, Monday rolls around. No one showed up, no contact, no communication. I had to reach out again to see what the issue was. Again, a scheduling/communication issue..... Ok, last chance. The Orkin pro who came the week before wasn't able to spray the outside of my home due to workers working on my roof that day. She stated she will come back the following week to spray at no cost to me since it's in my service details. Ok, bet. Almost 2 weeks later, no communication. I reached out and she stated she was going to come. Waited a couple of days, nothing. So here we are. I'll give them a 1 star because the Orkin pros who came out were pleasant to talk to and work with. However, the lack of communication and professionalism is horrible. Paid almost $150 each time they came out, just to spray the inside of our home and haven't even solved our pest issue. I hate writing negative reviews, but I hope this helps some of you before deciding on Orkin.

Timely, responsive, informative. Alexander (sales) and Warren (ridge guard pro) both were knowledgeable in their work and friendly. The price was reasonable as well. I got another quote, and theirs was on par with it, and Orkin offered more services as well as better communication.

I recently had Orkin come out to address a powder post beetle infestation in my basement and hardwood floors, and I was thoroughly dissatisfied with the service provided. After receiving similar assessments and bids from two other reputable local pest control companies, I expected a focused, effective solution tailored to the specific problem. Unfortunately, Orkin’s approach was neither focused nor professional. While the technician was polite and courteous, he had to FaceTime his boss throughout the entire visit, which was unprofessional and raised serious doubts about his expertise. Rather than addressing the beetles in the basement and hardwood floors, the technician spent the majority of his time inspecting the attic. He recommended that the insulation be vacuumed out, the attic re-insulated, and additional ventilation be added. When I inquired about how this would resolve the beetle issue in the basement, he claimed that the attic insulation would somehow “kill the bugs.” This explanation seemed both irrelevant and unsubstantiated, as it had no clear connection to the actual problem in the affected areas. Moreover, the technician spent significantly more time in the attic and on the roof than he did in the basement, where the issue was clearly present. At one point, he attempted to shift the conversation by discussing potential mouse problems and showing photos of mice holes in the attic insulation, further diverting attention from the real concern. After researching further, it appears that this “attic remediation” strategy is a common upselling tactic, designed to increase costs by recommending unnecessary services. Given this experience, I would strongly advise against choosing Orkin for pest control services. I recommend working with a local company that will provide a direct and professional solution to your pest issues, without relying on unnecessary and unrelated upsells.

Kennedy was the most amazing technician and she addressed all of my concerns. Also, the customer service agent who initially took my service call was extremely friendly, empathetic and helpful. I received service the same day I placed an emergency call! I love Orkin!

Orkin continues to disappoint. Had a squirrel and mice in the attic. Got sold on the home exclusion work and attic vent covers. Had some cheaper quotes from local guys but Orkin said they’d be able to get out quick and do the work. Well they did about 20% of the work then left. Didn’t realize we had cameras all around the house that caught them. They tried to lie but service manager agreed work was not completed. It then took 3 weeks and dozens of phone calls to get someone to come out and finish the work. The animals are now back a month later and I just got told it would be a few days before the service manager will be able to call me to setup a date to come back out. This is not service and is not what we were sold on. Do not fall for the same lies that you will get good and timely service. Their only goal is to finish the project just enough and get on to the next one.

Recently had Orkin come out since we suspected a squirrel had gotten into the attic. Original inspector came out the next day, confirmed the squirrel in our attic and suggested a few mitigation options. We got quotes from a few other exterminators, and they were less expensive than Orkin but couldn’t come out to get the work done as quickly as Orkin, so we went with Orkin. We couldn’t be home when they came out to do the work the next day, but they had assured us the work would be done well. Well, they were wrong. The crew that came out barely was at the house an hour and did only a portion of the work that we paid for and lied that they did finish the job. When we provided proof that the work was not completed, they lied again and said they done all the work around the house but not in the side yard since there was a vicious golden retriever barking at them. We don’t own a dog, but do have a coyote archery target that does not move or bark, and is clearly a decoy/target to anyone that looks at it for more than 2 seconds. Let alone, we had proof on our security cameras that they did not do the work on the house. It’s been weeks and they still have not fixed the work and have not been helpful in remedying the situation. Not impressed at all with the “work” or lack there of that they did.
