I live in an apartment complex called Stuart Woods, and I’ve been reporting a slug issue in my kitchen, especially around the countertop area, since January this year. I reported the issue to my leasing office, who then reported it to Orkin Pest Control. This problem has occurred at least three to four times. Every time the pest control team came out, they dismissed the issue, claiming it was caused by my dog and that the slugs were entering from outside through the balcony. They never bothered to check for any entry points. Each visit felt like a superficial inspection, and they kept saying everything looks good. Finally, on the fifth occurrence, the maintenance crew from my leasing office came along with the pest control team. I happened to be there at the time and pointed out where the slugs might be coming from. Orkin’s technician was dismissive once again, just going through the motions. It was the maintenance crew who took the initiative to lift the dishwasher panel, and they found an entry point behind it—a hole that had originally been poorly sealed with some materials. Over time, the materials fell off, and that’s where the slugs were coming from. The pest control team was incredibly unprofessional, unwilling to conduct a thorough investigation and let the problem last for more than eight months. Orkin’s staff showed no interest in properly addressing the issue.

Communication and punctuality were very good. I don’t think prices are reasonable compared to other providers, but warranties require us to remain with Orkin. I had to ask the exclusion team to address access points that were missed during service. Everyone was pleasant and very polite.

I had a great experience. We were able to get someone out to take care of a yellow jacket issue under our deck within hours of my call. Corey came and was very professional and explained what he was going to do before doing it then explained how it would work. Once I gave the ok, he completed the work, stuck around to see if what he did was working. He then stood by his work stating if in the next couple days we had issues, he’d come by to retreat (Orkin gives a 30 day guarantee)

We’ve used Orkin for years but the service has went downhill lately. Most of the challenges have been scheduling. We’ll receive a notification that a technician is coming but then no one shows up. In one case the technician showed up and the service wasn’t scheduled. Today, they came to service the house. This was the result of a no call / no show last week. The technical didn’t close the gate when he left and our dogs got out. We decided to cancel the service.
