Orkin Pest Control: Comprehensive Services for Royse City, Texas Homeowners
For homeowners in Royse City, Texas, safeguarding their homes against pests is a top priority. Orkin stands out with its proven A.I.M.® solution, ensuring a pest-free environment through a cycle of assessment, implementation, and monitoring. With a range of services covering common household pests, termite inspection, and specialized treatments for mosquitoes, rodents, and more, Orkin's commitment to effective pest management is clear. Here's a look into Orkin's service offerings, pricing details, and guarantees, providing homeowners the transparency and confidence needed to make informed pest control decisions.
Comprehensive Pest Prevention
Orkin, a name synonymous with reliability in pest control, provides Royse City residents with an extensive Pest Prevention Plan. By sealing entry points and maintaining a regular treatment schedule, Orkin's plan is comprehensive, including protection against 13 common pests. The plan is tailored, with services every 60 days, or as necessary, to disrupt pest life cycles and keep homes inviolate from infestations. With detailed service reports and actionable recommendations, homeowners can rest assured of continuous protection. Additionally, the plan comes with a 100% money-back guarantee for added peace of mind.
Expert Pricing Insights
Pest control costs can fluctuate based on several variables such as the size of your home and extent of infestation. Orkin provides transparency in pricing, with monthly costs ranging from $40 to $100, and initial fees from $175 to $350. Special promotions often offer additional savings, like the current $50 discount on services, making expert pest control more accessible.
Termite Challenges Addressed
Termites pose a significant threat to structural integrity. Orkin tackles this with free inspections and personalized treatment plans. While costs for termite services aren't disclosed upfront without an inspection, industry standards suggest a range between $250 to $1,000 annually. This investment in prevention is crucial, as homeowner insurance seldom covers termite damage.
Seasonal Mosquito Solutions
Mosquito control is a seasonal necessity, especially in warm climates like Texas. Orkin's approach includes source reduction and chemical controls to manage breeding and adult populations. Service costs vary, with monthly treatments ranging from $25 to $80, with initial fees affected by location and promotional discounts.
I feel like I was taken advantage of. I called orkin to my home because I found evidence of carpenter ants by a window. When the salesman came out, he searched the house and said we had rats in our attic. Having two babies at home, I obviously agreed to pay whatever I could to rectify the situation. So instead of $750 for carpenter ants, we paid almost $5000 to remove rats too. However, after two weeks of setting traps, ZERO rats were found. Not even one. I feel this is predatory and I was prey as a new mother trying to keep her children safe. Would not recommend.
UPDATE: I called the number requested by the company below and was asked if somebody from service could call me back. Do you think I received a call back? No. Another scam to try and make it look as if they care about doing genuine business.

I don't even know where to begin with my experience with Orkin. I decided to give them a try during the rainy season because I wanted to get ahead of potential pest and mosquito problems so my family and I could actually enjoy our outdoor space. Unfortunately, the entire experience has been one frustrating issue after another.
I initially spoke with a sales rep and scheduled my first pest treatment along with a free attic inspection for possible mice activity. I was told both appts were scheduled for the same day. The pest control tech showed up and completed the service, but the attic inspection rep was a complete no-show. That should have been my first red flag.
When I called customer service, I was informed that the inspection had never actually been scheduled. Later, Jason from the local office contacted me and explained that the call center had made the scheduling mistake. To be fair, Jason was professional, helpful, and thorough during the inspection once it was finally rescheduled. He gave great recommendations and a quote for attic insulation. Although the price was higher than I could afford at the time, I appreciated his honesty and intended to revisit the service later.
Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there.
Just three days after my first treatment, I noticed another pending charge on my account. I called customer service and was told I had been placed on monthly autodraft billing. That made no sense considering my treatments were only supposed to occur every other month. I specifically requested that payments only be drafted after services were actually rendered. The rep assured me that autodraft had been removed and refunded the extra charge.
Fast forward to my second scheduled treatment on 5/7. I noted another draft hit my account on 5/6. I called customer service again, and Kay informed me that the previous rep had never canceled the monthly autodraft. At that point, I told her I was considering canceling my services altogether, but she convinced me to give Orkin another chance since the money had already been withdrawn. She also assured me the autodraft issue had finally been fixed.
Then on 5/7, no tech showed up for my scheduled treatment. After yet another call to customer service, Qwana informed me that someone had moved my appt from 5/7 to 5/14 without notifying me. At that point, I requested to cancel everything and receive a refund. Once again, I was persuaded to give Orkin "one more chance" after being offered 15% off future services and promised that a tech would come out the very next day between 4-6PM.
Surprise, surprise no one showed up the next day either.
I called customer service again, and after explaining everything for what felt like the hundredth time, I asked to officially cancel all services and process my refund. The rep rushed me off the phone, simple saying the refund would be returned to my card on file. something felt off, so I checked my online account shortly afterward and discovered my treatments were STILL active.
I waited about 30 minutes and called bac to speak with a different rep named Raisin, who was honestly the only customer service re that seemed genuinely helpful and transparent. She informed me that the previous rep hand did not cancel my services and hand not even started the refund process. She also informed me that the previous rep had scheduled the appt for 5/3 instead of next day, which is wild considering we can't go back in time. Raisin apologized, stated she canceled everything properly, and escalated my refund request to management due to the repeated scheduling failures and services not being rendered. She told me a manger would contact me the next business day. It has now been two business days, and I still haven't received a call from a manager. My account still shows scheduled treatments online, and at this point, I'm seriously considering going directly to the local office just to get answers.
Would not recommend 2/10

Had some scheduling problems for a period . They would say they were coming and the didn’t . Mgr straightened that out and sent two guys out . One to survey my house and property and the other to treat my house. Both were professional and exactly on time. I appreciated their attention to detail and feel confident in their service provided. Just don’t call the National number ( that’s where the problem was ).

I’ve been a customer of Orkin for years at other locations, but my recent experience with the Arlington, Texas branch has been by far the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.
They rescheduled my appointment without any notice. I only discovered the change when I checked their online portal. No phone call, text, or email…nothing. After calling to complain, I rescheduled, only for the appointment to be changed two more times with zero communication. When the technician finally arrived, he was over an hour late.
I had taken time off work and completely rearranged my schedule around this. It’s unclear if this is a management problem, a scheduling system issue, or something else, but the complete lack of communication and respect for the customer’s time is unacceptable.
Because of this experience, I’m seriously considering whether to continue using Orkin in Arlington. I haven’t decided yet if I’ll be back.
Edit to reply: I did call the number provided and they were no help. I had to set up a call back from a manager and they are again disrespecting my time.

I am writing this review express my dissatisfaction with the service provided on November 24. My tenant scheduled a treatment for that date with a confirmed time window of 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Since my tenant was unavailable due to work obligations, I personally went to the property to ensure access. After waiting for three hours, I left without any communication from your team. This was a complete no-call, no-show on Orkin’s part.
When my tenant contacted your office, she was informed that the system was down due to rain. If this explanation is accurate, I would like to know how long the system was down and why no proactive communication occurred once it was restored. It is unacceptable that the customer had to initiate contact hours later to learn this information.
Instead of addressing the missed appointment, Orkin sent a text stating that someone would arrive between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM on November 25. I called to confirm and requested a 30-minute arrival notification, which was acknowledged. I also asked to escalate yesterday’s issue and was told it would be noted in the system, with a response timeframe of up to 48 hours.
Update: Orkin apologized and we were able to work something out. Updating to 3 stars. I have another treatment scheduled and if they show up to that one, I'll update my review.

Jose came today and did the first phase of service. He was really nice, explained everything very thoroughly and was able to do a walk-through of exactly what he was going to do! He sprayed two forms of insecticide and even did a perimeter spray around the whole house. We are still waiting to see results but in terms of customer service from consultation to phase I everyone has been very kind and thorough.
