We had a mouse that was wreaking havoc in our kitchen for a few months and had Orkin do an inspection after live traps and covering holes behind the countertops did not work. The tech claimed that the mice (plural) were getting in through holes in the side of our house and by tight-roping the telephone wires and outdoor string lights, into the roof, through the attic, and into our main floor and basement. They wanted to fill the holes, install a grate on our roof, take out all the insulation in the attic, clean and sanitize it, and put in new insulation. For $11,000! The tech was not transparent about the breakdown of cost and would not work with us when we tried to negotiate bringing down the cost by doing some of the work ourselves. To top it off, when we went to our bedroom that night, half our clothes were on the bed and dust and insulation was everywhere from the tech crawling into our attic through the closet and not cleaning up. He did not mention anything about this whatsoever. The following week, we saw the mouse and chased it all around the house, realizing that it was getting upstairs through a closet by the kitchen that had a badly boarded section that was open to the basement. In the basement, we realized there was piping in the wall that wasn't fully enclosed and led to the outside. So really, the mouse was getting inside from the backyard ground level into the basement and used the piping to climb into the main floor closet into the kitchen. We ended up buying snap traps and bait, moth balls, steel wool, caulk, and peppermint deterrent spray. Cost us maybe $50. We fixed the board in the closet, filled all the holes around the outside of the house with the steel wool and caulk, sprayed deterrent outside, put moth balls inside the burrow holes in the insulation, set 2 traps per closet and behind all kitchen appliances. Less than 12 hours later, we heard a snap. Got the mouse (singular). Haven't had an issue since. Highly recommend the Tomcat white plastic snap traps and the Tomcat attractant gel. Believe the Orkin reviews on Reddit. I will never call Orkin again and I will never be recommending them.

Timothy took the time to walk me through the process of treating for fleas 🤢 🐜 left behind in my newly purchased home. He asked me questions along the way and as a consumer feeling heard moves mountains! Timothy knocked this service out of the park. Days later I reached out to ask follow up questions which he did not have to reply directly to me but HE DID! and even was kind enough to give me alternative solutions to continue eradicating them until they return for another treatment. Scheduled service between 12-2 but no call and no one arrived. At 1:50 the branch manager called to "see how things were going". I explained no one had shown up and I'd been waiting for 2 hours. He offered no explanation but offered to reschedule. Horrible service - will never call again.
