Mike, the Orkin inspector, was great. He was friendly, answered all my questions, was polite, and respectful of my wife and child. However, the company suffers from a pretty extreme lack of communication, at least in my case. The only person who ever reached out to me directly was the inspector and he confirmed the date of treatment and confirmed that the exterminators would arrive between 9-10am. No one from Orkin was at my home until 11am and it was the inspector who asked me where the exterminators were. The exterminators did not arrive until 12pm. Had I known that they would not be here until 12 I wouldn’t have wasted my morning waiting for them to arrive. Mike was not made aware that the exterminators had another job that morning and so I was not made aware either. They need to have a way of properly communicating dates and times with their customers. The exterminators were polite and respectful. However, there are a few things I want to point out. Rubber plugs: They had to drill through my floor at expansion joints and then pump the chemicals into the ground, they use rubber plugs and concrete to plug the holes. They said if I wanted to skip the concrete they could just use the rubber plugs and leave them flush with my floor to match the laminate better. I agreed. The issue is that while some plugs were about flush most weren’t. It was an easy enough fix for me to go around with my rubber mallet and give the plugs a few taps to make them flush, but they should have done that, not me. Spill: They had some sort of spill in my basement as I heard them yelling to shut the pump off, could small a strong chemical smell, and saw them coming in with a bag of some industrial absorbent and insulation. They seem to have cleaned it up well enough, the floor was sticky when they left but is now dry. The issue is they never told me. I heard a bit of it and saw them, and then found the sticky/wet floor after they left but they never informed me. I have a crawling baby in the house so this is a concern. When all is said and done I am rating 2 stars primarily for their poor communication. It is incredibly unprofessional and inconsiderate.

He always has tips to approach different issues and prevent them altogether. The most terrible experience. A simple project took nearly 2 years (22 months) to be completed. Only after numerous attempts on our end to contact the company was it resolved after being told on multiple occasions it would be addressed and completed, but they failed to follow through. After constant communication and demanding that enough be enough was it done. And still, after 22 months I was still told “it was not a priority”. I have been told that both a branch manager and a regional manager would be contacting me (I have a reference number and documented proof of this) and still it has been 2 weeks and I have not heard anything. We spent thousands of dollars on a service to be neglected and forgot about. Visits were made by Orkin to address to the situation only to be told that it was not documented what was needed so more visits or photos were needed. Failed documentation, failed communication, and terrible customer service are the reasons for my frustration. I am still waiting to be contacted and look forward to speaking to the appropriate party. For a company that is here for you 24/7 they did terrible at being here for our service. No one should spend thousands of dollars on a service to be forgotten about. I will NEVER recommend their services based on our experience.

I have been with Orkin pest control for over 15 years. I do not bother what checking for cheaper service because the customer service is just phenomenal. I love working with Brian and Lori. I told the manager if Brian And Lori leaves the company. I will too. They always take care of me just like family
