    Will not be using this Orkin location ever again. We’ve used Orkin for our cabin rental in the area for years, and it has been one issue after another. We had techs showing up at the wrong time and disturbing guests and half-completed services that we’d have to follow up on. But the final straw was a rodent intrusion in our roof space that led to multiple guest cancellations and lost revenue. We called repeatedly, made it clear it was urgent, and still waited days just to get someone to provide a proper "assessment" and even longer for an actual resolution. Another company we consulted spotted the problem right away and fixed it promptly. The difference in professionalism was night and day. Ater all of that, trying to cancel with Orkin became its own headache. We told them three times to cancel our service, yet they continued trying to bill us anyway. The lack of communication, urgency, and follow-through is unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and go with literally any other provider.

    Not thrilled with the customer service I received but the ants are dead. The in person tech Jason was the best part of the whole experience. He helped us with wasp nets and carpenter ants. After a few visits I noticed improvements of ant problem. Other than that I called to discuss the billing which seemed higher than my quote and the service rep had a very "what do you want me to do about it" attitude. I asked to cancel services. I even got a text message asking why I cancelled. After the last service I thought ok, that's done. Then a month or so later another bill so I called again and they had no record of me cancelling my services. So really the only thing the service department is good at is sending invoices.

    This was the absolute worst experience with a “professional” company I have ever experienced. My pregnant girlfriend was getting bit by fleas about 30 times every night so we called orkin and they assured us for they’re over priced $500 treatment that after the first time they came they would all be gone it would be safe to bring our animals back and we MIGHT see a couple hatch over the next few weeks. The first guy who came was extremely rude and quite literally didn’t actually do anything so we had to call the manager and have him come out 2 days later to redo it and at the time he seemed professional he again assured us that once he was done every single flea would be gone. Again there wasn’t even a small difference on the amount of fleas my girlfriend was still getting bit even more than normal. I ended up calling the customer service team and the woman I talked to was the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever talked to I told her their treatment didn’t work and they needed to come back now and she said they aren’t allowed to come back until a week and kept saying this over and over even tho their treatment didn’t do anything. I told her to let me talk to the manager and she said he’s busy and that she would give him my number to call me back when he wasn’t, I never got a call back and had to fight just to get back on the phone with them. They have a policy that you get a full refund if their products don’t work BUT you can’t get that full refund if you don’t wait the 3 weeks for the product to take full affect. We can’t wait that long when we’re getting but the way we were and the fact that they said it would be over with after 5 hours of them being there I was reasonably frustrated. I cannot recommend enough that you STAY AWAY FROM ORKIN. They will not solve your problem and will scam you out of your refund.

    ⭐ 1 Star — Avoid Orkin for Bat Remediation I hired Orkin in summer 2024 for bat remediation after two bats were found in my home. I paid over $3,000 and was promised a two-year warranty. Since then, four more bats have entered my living space despite multiple visits from Orkin. The team failed to install bat cones, despite acknowledging this was the only reliable way to ensure bats had left. A major entry point at the ridge vent was “repaired” twice — the second time after they admitted the first fix was done improperly. After continued issues, I hired a licensed independent pest expert who found dead bats in the walls, heavy droppings, over 10 visible entry points, and a poorly installed ridge vent with open gaps. Orkin missed all of this. When I brought these findings to Orkin’s branch manager, Doug Wolfe, he denied the presence of bats and was argumentative, despite never inspecting inside the walls or using proper methods. We ended up paying a second company to do the job right. Orkin has refused a refund and failed to honor their warranty. Bottom line: Orkin was ineffective, unprofessional, and costly. Avoid them at all costs for bat issues.

    Update: after a second no call no show, I was told the service manager would come out but would let me know when he was on his way so I could make sure I was home and all problems could be addressed. The manager never let me know he was on his way and didn’t fix everything as requested. Very disappointing and frustrating. Extremely rude customer service after a no call no show appointment. That’s if you can get them on the phone. Anthony was extremely rude and unprofessional when I called today to try and get a reschedule. When asked to clarify the information he was providing since it was conflicting, he proceeded to get more and more irate, loud, until he hung up. I had to call back and got a different customer service rep who was very nice and helpful. Hoping they show up this time around for a service I’ve already paid for. Beware if you get Anthony on the phone. You’d be better off hanging up and calling back.

    After one flea treatment by a polite young man, the fleas are still hopping. He said he used a product called “Petrol”, which I couldn’t find online. We are supposed to get another treatment in a few days, but communication has stopped. The text messages I was receiving from someone named Dusty now direct me to call the local office, which is an answering machine.

    Local Orkin in the Schoharie county area is completely useless! There service people for inside service do next to nothing to solve ant problems. You can't complain because they never answer the phone, put you on hold and never come back to take your call. There quick to take your money but there service is useless. I would suggest not using them.

    We just moved out to the country and needed some professional help managing ants and mice. After our in home inspection, the first visit the tech didn’t have the right mouse traps and seemed annoyed that we asked for traps. I was a little confused because we spent an hour with the guy who came to do the inspection and was very clear about the mice. When we called the next day to get more traps we were promised over the next two days someone would come out after Nono e showed. We are back to having a bad nice and ant problem. I thought going with a bigger company it would be better but I will be going back to a local family owned company. Never again will I use Orkin.

    new to the area and dealing with a lot of critters with our rural home. we contracted with Orkin at this location. they are all yes ma'am on the the phone - we can do this or that but follow up and follow through are not there. a virtually ineffective first tick treatment - with 4/5 ticks coming back in on each dog everytime they came inside. miscommunication regarding times they show up, which technician was assigned, and rude phone operators on the main number. we lucked out with one technician who said she had been treating our house for almost 10 years and gave us a heads up about ground wasps which had been (and now are) an issue. she effectively did months worth of tick spraying. without here we will def look into switching companies.

    I am incredibly disappointed with the Orkin location closest to my location. Anthony is nothing but rude and unhelpful when calling. When I called for a service to deal with the CARPENTER BEE issue we were having, they got us scheduled quick. However, the day of service the tech lied to his supervisor (on camera) and told him we only needed a quick spray because we were working on the house; a conversation that I never had with him. The tech was at my house for TEN MINUTES spraying and that was it. No treatment for the very obvious carpenter bee infestation. When we called to fix, the main branch was great. However, Anthony was atrocious offering no fix and reporting we would have to reschedule and pay an additional fee for their mistake! The second day the tech was supposed to show, they called HALF AN HOUR AFTER the appointment time to say he was not coming; again it was Anthony who offered no assistance or understanding that this was time taken out off of work so my husband could be present. We contacted the main branch again, who sent their best tech out to complete the service. Now they keep sending me texts that we have a pro coming out for our service…. That we didn’t ask for. I attempted to reach out to the number in the text only to be met again with Anthony, who states he is the only person who works there and can not transfer my call. Again contacted the main branch who accommodated and closed my account when I asked because the lack of communication, empathy, and lies are not the service I signed up for.
