I had crawl space work done at the beginning of the season. I knew the price they quoted me was higher than other companies I spoke to, but I used Orkin Cherry Hill in the past for raccoons, squirrels, birds, and other infestation problems in the past and they did a good job then so I thought they’d do a similarly good job this time. They did not. The technicians called me telling me they were running late and the work they provided looked sloppy, unprofessional, and incomplete in areas; it looked like something a homeowner who didn’t know what he was doing would do and ran out of insulation towards then end. They also damaged an air duct, failed to reinstall it, and didn’t alert me to the problem; I only realized they damaged it when I noticed a vent wasn’t blowing air. The representative I spoke to initially also mislead me on certain details when we spoke in person, but because I didn’t have that in writing I couldn’t press forward with the matter. I tried calling the representative I spoke to initially but they ignored me. After a week of trying to call and email them I eventually got their manager. I had to wait an additional week for them to finish installing the last several batts of insulation and I had to fix their other mistakes myself. I had to totally replace the air duct myself and was not compensated. It was at this time I also realized that even if they didn’t disconnect the flexible air duct, they sprayed so much canned foam that it grew and choked the line.

I expected a more thorough inspection as a first time client. It was the last stop for the Orkin technician and frankly I think he was just ready to get out of here for the day. No inspection of the attic which I was told there would be . Basically told me to keep my doggy door closed , laid glue traps , and did random spraying of the exterior of my home, which was caught by my Vivint camera. He was literally here less than an hour. $324.00 later..

I can’t say enough about the incredible work CJ, an Orkin General Contractor, and his team did at our home. After discovering a major wasp and bee infestation in our attic, which unfortunately had a hole in it which had also spread into the retaining area walls above our basement stairs, CJ went far beyond what we expected. He made sure every trace of the problem was completely cleared out and handled the repairs with exceptional care and professionalism. When it became necessary to remove part of a wall to fully resolve the issue, CJ took the time to explain everything clearly and ensured our home was restored — and even improved — once the work was complete. The attic was left spotless, reinforced, and in better condition than before the infestation with the hole patched and a much nicer finish on the wall he had to remove when he was done which added a nice touch of class to our home. CJ’s attention to detail, communication, and dedication to doing the job right truly set him apart. It’s rare to find someone who takes such pride in their work. I also want to recognize Jeff, our inspector, who initially diagnosed the problem. He did a wonderful job helping us understand all of our options and walked us through the process before any work began. Even though it was a large and expensive task, Jeff went above and beyond to make sure we could figure out a plan that worked for us, and to get CJ and his team scheduled to make it happen as soon as possible. I highly recommend CJ and his team, and Jeff as an inspector, to anyone needing pest-related repairs or home restoration because these guys really just knocked it out of the park for us.

After finding another bug in my bathtub, I decided to use Google Lens. It said that it was a cockroach nymph - I then researched it & bam - I needed immediate help. Ugh! How could this happen to a cleaning fanatic??? Initially, I entertained another company, but for my issue, I read that Orkin is the industry standard. After speaking to 2 reps that spoke so highly of their company, I proceeded with a contract. Con - My frantic attempts at receiving a message was not met, but I called an emergency number & the rep really was so helpful & kind & reassuring - thanks, Richard. Today, Jamar texted his availability in the window given & was early. He was respectful, answered all my questions & apprised me of what his services entailed to include interior & exterior. The process was seamless to include a next scheduled visit. After payment, he sent me at report to include EPA approved chemicals, which appeals to this retired analyst for that Agency. While I would say the only failure was the initial connection to the branch for this emergency, I feel confident that my research & that of the helpful Orkin consultants are solid. I am pleased!

Everyone starting with Eric who kept me so comfortable by explaining in depth, what was wrong, and all the steps that would be taken to correct the problem. He explained so well I felt I did not need input from any “make” friends before making a decision! The next day the whole crew Ray, Chris& Jose all had exemplary work ethics they were very mindful of keeping my home clean. They were polite and hardly took a break to eat or drink!

Tyler was the service tech today and did an excellent job. He was very pleasant and comprehensive, making sure to work on both floors of the house plus the crawlspace. He also sprayed along the outside perimeter of the house and additionally applied the mosquito spray. I was very happy with the service provided. Thank you, Glenn.

I would not recommend Orkin Exterminating Company. Their technicians do not seem adequately trained for certain types of infestations. Appointments are unreliable — sometimes they show up, sometimes they don’t. Even when they do, it’s inconsistent whether they actually enter the house. Overall, this is not the type of exterminating company I would refer. when I called the office to cancel, they were very apologetic, but unfortunately, that is not what I was looking for. I need someone to come Out and provide the service that I had paid for.
