I had an extremely disappointing experience with Orkin. Their customer service was terrible from start to finish, and their fees are completely overpriced for the level of service they provide. I scheduled an appointment and waited around for them to show up, only for nobody to ever arrive. When I called to find out what happened, I was told the house had supposedly been sold to a new owner — which is completely false and ridiculous as I am the owner. Instead of taking responsibility for missing the appointment, they gave excuses and showed no concern for wasting my time. Very unprofessional company with poor communication and horrible customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone. Follow Up 06/03/2026 Called Orkin number left on google review which basically just called same useless customer service, who had no knowledge and I had explain again. I was put on hold 8 minutes then transferred to the manager who had no knowledge of anything and was just like what’s the problem. I basically said have a good day and hung up. Orkin is by far the most incompetent company in Independence and Lees Summit.

It was a very informative visit. Austin was very thorough while looking for any issues. When he sat me down he educated me on a lot of things I would not have known to look for and even more than that he was very knowledgeable and respectful. It was a very peaceful visit. That goes a long way. Anthony was also very respectful and knowledgeable. I genuinely felt like they wanted to make sure we get the best solution to protect our home. I appreciate everything.

Jonas was very patient and understanding of all my questions and concerns, especially being later in the day. Fingers crossed that this customer service will continue over the next 12 months. Feeling like I have a little peace of mind. I was a bit disappointed that the “inspector” had to postpone, as I needed to submit this information to my landlord for repairs of the entry points but I was assured that they would follow up within the next few days. Other than that, I was satisfied with my service today.
