My experience with Orkin has been terrible. I ordered the service for my daughter. They barely give any notice to when they’re coming out and if you’re not there, they get there. They just spray around the outside of your house and then they charge you full price for a complete spray. We were not happy with the service. The service man that came out didn’t even go into all of the rooms to spray so we canceled our service, but Orkin came out again and sprayed around the outside of the house so of course that was another charge so we canceled our service for a second time and now guess what we owe Orkin money. Now they are threatening to turn us over to a collection agency for I’m not even sure what they’re charging us for now. Do yourself a favor and call anybody else but Orkin. At this point it feels like harassment.

Absolutely amazing Devin came out to check the pest problem at my mom’s house today and I live out of town but I wanted my mom to be taken care of. They did just that and just waiting to setup the treatment plan. Highly recommended and exceptional service

Will randomly cancel appointment/ just not show up . If they miss the inside they won’t follow up. Went cancel service , the manager said let’s leave on a good note and at least let us do the touch up for the inside . We had to reschedule due to our family having Covid and not wanting the tech to be subject to that . Because the reschedule went into the next month they charged us the full service amount even though our service was canceled , they said there was nothing they could do .The manager did explain that Orkin is an exterior service with the inside being on request , this is something that definitely isn’t explained when you sign up . Just terrible customer service.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Orkin. Their customer service was terrible from start to finish, and their fees are completely overpriced for the level of service they provide. I scheduled an appointment and waited around for them to show up, only for nobody to ever arrive. When I called to find out what happened, I was told the house had supposedly been sold to a new owner — which is completely false and ridiculous as I am the owner. Instead of taking responsibility for missing the appointment, they gave excuses and showed no concern for wasting my time. Very unprofessional company with poor communication and horrible customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone. Follow Up 06/03/2026 Called Orkin number left on google review which basically just called same useless customer service, who had no knowledge and I had explain again. I was put on hold 8 minutes then transferred to the manager who had no knowledge of anything and was just like what’s the problem. I basically said have a good day and hung up. Orkin is by far the most incompetent company in Independence and Lees Summit.

It was a very informative visit. Austin was very thorough while looking for any issues. When he sat me down he educated me on a lot of things I would not have known to look for and even more than that he was very knowledgeable and respectful. It was a very peaceful visit. That goes a long way. Anthony was also very respectful and knowledgeable. I genuinely felt like they wanted to make sure we get the best solution to protect our home. I appreciate everything.

Jonas was very patient and understanding of all my questions and concerns, especially being later in the day. Fingers crossed that this customer service will continue over the next 12 months. Feeling like I have a little peace of mind. I was a bit disappointed that the “inspector” had to postpone, as I needed to submit this information to my landlord for repairs of the entry points but I was assured that they would follow up within the next few days. Other than that, I was satisfied with my service today.

Robert my technician did such a wonderful job his previous visit that my sticky traps were almost empty and less spider webs in the basement! He is always friendly, kind and patient.
