TLDR: DO NOT USE ORKIN. EVER. I found some mouse droppings in the lower living room of my house. I called a local pest control company that day, and they weren't able to come by for a few days. I figured I would try Orkin as it's a very well known name for pest control. The lady was extremely friendly when and said they could get someone out same day to take care of my problem. I simply had to sign up for a monthly service and then pay around $370 for the visit and they could "guarantee they would get the mouse problem solved." So, a gentleman showed up later that day and proceeded to walk around my house with a flashlight and place sticky traps in 5-6 place, without even telling me where they were... I had to have him show me after the fact (some where in garage)... *Side note* -- those sticky traps are quite inhumane and I did not enjoy having to then kill the mice that were stuck on them (Orkin don't come by and dispose of them). He then told me they were going to have another guy come by and do a deeper dive so they could get the problem solved... He proceeded to knock a solitary cobweb down from the front porch and he left... Quite a useless fella if we are being honest. The next guy came by the following day, and he spent a solid 1-1.5 hours in the attic and crawlspace, and walking around the house poking about. Eventually he asked me to sit down and go over the quote... At this point I was somewhat confused having already spent $375 bucks, but I followed his lead. The quote: $28,500 I laughed, he laughed, we laughed together for a few minutes. Eventually he proposed that they could remove multiple services/items and do it for a measily 18k... We both shared another laugh and he went on his way. I obviously chose not to use their service, although I was over $370 out of pocket. I also forgot to cancel the monthly service and another gentleman came by a few weeks later and spent maybe 10 minutes or so at my house walking around outside. I have no idea what he actually did but he didn't go in the back yard or anything and I didn't see any broom to cobweb action. I canceled the monthly contract and asked if they would waive the $55 given, I already paid over $370 for essentially nothing but a quote, and they would not waive a dollar. I was not planning on reviewing them, but this kind of business practice is shady, and I want to warn anyone against using them, especially for rodent/pest control, as you will likely need to take out a second mortgage to afford it. Moral of the story... Get some clear caulk sealant and fill any cracks (even tiny ones) you may have around your house inside and out. Get some traps and put some peanut butter on them (preferably kill traps as they are more humane and easier to dispose the mice). Do not leave crumbs ANYWHERE. Or, give Orkin $375 bucks and sign up for a monthly plan so they can tell you it's going to cost you nearly $30k to fix the problem, and then share a laugh with them and send them on their way.

Parker is extremely easy to work with and he is responsive to any need to have. He also offers a lot of education in how we got our issues to begin with and how to avoid them going forward. Parker is very nice, courteous, timely and we have always felt he goes above and behind for our facility

A sales representative from Orkin came out to the house to give us a free estimate, quoted us for $30,000-$50,000 worth of work, promised to send us an estimate same day (Saturday) or Monday at the latest. I have called twice to inquire about the estimate and was assured that I would receive the estimate within the next day or so. Week two and we still have not received an estimate. More importantly, we have had several other companies out to the property. The house needs $5500-$6000 worth of work, not $30,000-$50,000. Folks, beware.

You inspected my crawl space and wanted 15000. To fix problem. The main problem was hose bib leaking. Your man mentioned nothing of this. So if I had paid 15000 to Orkin I still would have had water problem. I got fixed for 3200 remove mold and replace insulation. I think your company is a rip off. I have been a customer for 15 years. No more.

We have used Orkin for years. We have the outside sprayed about every three months. I’m sure it would be cheaper to do on our own but honestly I just don’t want to. Having said that- we have had excellent service and I actually haven’t seen a bug in my house for at least a year. I’m sure there must be some, but not many. Prior to Orkin we had spiders, wasps and ants. I know insects are beneficial overall, I just prefer them outside. Orkin always notifies us of visits and our Orkin guy, David, is friendly and professional. I have no complaints.

Brandon was both very informative about his process and astute with completing said process for pest and rodent control.

Never leave reviews but their consistency has been awful. Never know when they are coming then when they let us know, they never actually arrive in the window that they say. On a monthly plan and they showed up two weeks back to back. Another time they didn’t show up for 6 weeks. The mosquito service is worthless as well. There are other companies that offer the same services, hopefully they will have better (or any) customer service while actually solving the problem.

Hired Orkin because of an ant issue and ended up signing up with them for their yearly (every other month) program. After the first appointment the ant (and carpenter bee) problem got worse. I had them come out, and they did after a week. They treated our house again, and after a couple of days the problem got even worse. I had them come out again for another follow up (this is on our third week in the program), and they charged me for it without telling me. I called their office, and they said that they cannot take this charge away since it was part of the program I purchased (the next treatment was supposed to be after a month and this was still a follow up from the original appointment). Again, the problem was not taken care of so I said I wanted to cancel and get my money back. Office said they'd send their manager out and get everything fixed. The issue still was not taken care of (after the fourth appointment) so I called to get my money back. They told me the manager was out of the office or in the field and would get back to me by tomorrow. I called 6 times and was told this 6 times. No one ever got back to me so I finally was able to cancel with the corporate office, and the local branch still charged me again for no reason. They ended up refunding me for that charge, but never gave me my money back from the original charge of $350 even though they did not resolve the issues we had. This is by far the worst customer service experience I've had with a company, and I don't think anyone should use a company that offers a "30 day money back guarantee" and does not honor it.

We had Orkin come take a look in our attic for mice. We knew we had a problem but we’ve been tackling it. We already had 2 quotes to remove insulation and add blow in. Kinda of un related, but not completely unrelated. Anyway, he tells us we have an active infestation and I inform him about our prior quotes to re-insulate. He states we also do that. I asked for a quote. I tell him what my quotes are so he know where he needs to be at. He follows up on Monday with a quote that is double. I explained to him there is no way I can pay double what 2 other companies are quoting. He says, well my manager wants to keep the guys busy so he believes he can get really close on the price of the other 2 companies. At this point, I know he is adding a crazy markup. Btw, I’m in sales. He asks about the guards for the siding. I told him I would do that my self. At this point he pretty well hangs up the phone. And never sent the report he said he would send. Not all salesman are created equal.
