If one doesn’t believe pests can be an emergency then they are wrong. I called for a carpenter ant situation and they sent Eric Baker who was great! Thorough and professional while also being friendly and cordial. Service was completed on the same day that I called. I could not have been more pleased.

I do not recommend this Orkin company. We paid 1200 to have them come out and spray for a pest problem we had. When the bug man showed up, all he wanted to do was talk. He said they are required to to stay atleast an hour so he likes to chat for half an hour. Before he gets to work. He asked for the money to pay for the spray, i told him I already paid and wanted to show him my reciept but he wasn't interested in seeing it. So he called the first guy who came out to verify we paid. He was told we already paid for that spray to go ahead and spray. He was also told to spray the couch we had sitting out back and around our trailer. We don't know if he sprayed around our trailer or not but he didn't spray the couch. The couch was upright and under a tarp to keep mowed grass off of it. The tarp was fully wrapped around the couch with boards sitting on the bottom to keep it in place. The grass and boards had never been moved or touched. So we know he didn't spray the couch down. It was still covered in live bugs crawling around. When I emailed the original guy who came out to see if the bug man sprayed the couch, I was told he thinks so. My couch ended up with mold from being outside because we couldn't get ahold of anyone about the spray and we couldn't bring the couch back in until the bugs were gone. Then the bills started rolling in. Why were we being charged for 1 spray that they didn't complete? The first guy would no longer answer my emails so I emailed directly to the company. A week or so later Chris calls me. We chat. I explain about the couch and bills. The couch was about 6-7 months old as it had just been purchased brand new . And why was I being billed for what I already paid for. I wanted a partial refund to cover the cost of the couch we now will have to replace. Chris said he would help with this for me to give him a few days and give him a call back. I waited and called him back. He didn't answer, went straight to voice mail. I left a nice message. A week went by and no return call so I call again. Again I get voice mail. Chris was ghosting me and had no intentions of a partial reimbursement. So I started emailing him again. His company and personal email. No reply. Weeks later I get a call from his company wanting to come out and just do a walk threw check for bugs ( something they were suppose to have done 7-10 days after the first spray and NO ONE showed) he set a date and time, and va-la, no one showed. Imagine that. He calls to reschedule for the next day. ( wasting my time) and AGAIN, is a no show.This time, not even a phone call! So NO, I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS CRAPPY COMPANY!! I have 3 bills they sent me, emails and proof of calls they never returned. I will be filing a small claims against them for a partial refund do to the incompetence of this office in Marion leading to the destruction of my new couch. ( I am just now recovered from a surgery or I would have filed already) Don't use this company!

I have a mouse problem and have seen some spiders. I contacted orkin to have them check out the problem. The first one who showed up was super nice and check the house and told me the problem areas. What he didn't tell or show me was under my sink in the bathroom he had managed to punch out a huge whole in the drywall leaving it all exposed. He also pushed for products without discussing how much it was all gonna cost and enrolled me in autopsy without my consent. When the men came to spray and dust they were unaware that I was unaware I could not be in the home when they did all this, I work from home so that was a day missed of work. When they left they left glue traps out in the open all over the house I have a small child and a cat both of which could have touched the glue traps and that would have been a painful mess for everyone.

Moving to Southern Illinois gave me my first experience with Orkin. At my first house they mismanaged a mouse problem for two years, collecting money every month or so to put out new traps in the wrong place until we happened to get a different person, who identified the problem correctly and treated it quickly. Still an Orkin person but the quality of person sent to your house differs wildly. At both houses I have found them to be an interminable source of high-pressure sales, always trying to get you to spend thousands of dollars making this or that improvement to your house or your service contract. Much more than any company I deal with here or digitally. They do not listen to simple requests like to call before they come over and make sure someone is home even if explicitly asked to do so. They show up at inconvenient times, pound on the door and wake you up, and if you're not home too bad they'll just do half the job and charge you automatically. Better luck next month. When you do try to cancel your service expect a huge hassle. There's no direct line to the Marion office so you have to call their national retention line, then you get pawned off to a manager who sounds bored and expresses they "made him" call you and he doesn't want to talk to you, then back to retention, then back to a manager. It's suspiciously difficult to revoke consent to come to your house and/or charge you money. Much better and more hassle-free pest options available. Recommend avoiding Orkin, at least in this area.

Orkin does a good job, but they AUTOMATICALLY renew service that you might not want, so keep a close eye on your billing. I've never had complaints about their work, but their financial practices are shady at best. KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR BILLING.

From the initial contact with the company I have been very impressed. The lady who I spoke with was very friendly and helpful as well as informative and was able to address my concerns and questions. Had first initial home inspection and treatment from Zach who was also friendly and very polite as well as professional. Would recommend for any type of pest that you may have that’s bugging you 😁

I got my house serviced in June and the Orkin guy did a terrible job. The branch manager Chris came out and saw what a terrible job he did and sent for someone else to come redo my service. THEN CHARGED ME FOR IT. I thought that was their policy if you aren’t happy they send someone else out. Now they have sent me to collections bc I didn’t pay the bill I wasn’t supposed to pay in the first place. I’ve been trying to contact the branch manager in Marion il and he hasn’t returned my phone calls. I have since quit my service with Orkin. I think their customer service is terrible and they clearly don’t care about their customers who have been there for quite some time.
