As we walked through the house together, he moved our appliances from the wall and offered helpful suggestions. I previously left a 5-star review specifically because of the exceptional service I received from technician Nelson Castellanos. He was knowledgeable, patient, compassionate, and made an extremely stressful situation feel manageable. As someone who is genuinely terrified of roaches and dealing with a German roach infestation for the first time, his professionalism and kindness meant more than I can explain. He is truly the reason I considered continuing long-term services with Orkin outside of my apartment complex treatments. Unfortunately, after my recent interaction with service manager William Labrador, I feel extremely disappointed and concerned by the level of customer service and communication I experienced. My issue was never about being assigned a different technician. My concern was the complete lack of communication after weeks of attempting to call for updates and clarification regarding upcoming treatments. Instead of being met with understanding or professionalism, I was spoken to in a dismissive and belittling manner that made me feel more like a burden than a paying client seeking answers about services being performed inside my home. During the call, I was informed that Nelson was never even supposed to be servicing my area and that another technician was originally assigned. Again, that itself was not the issue. The issue was the way this information was communicated after multiple unanswered calls over the course of weeks. Not once during the conversation was there an apology for the inconvenience, miscommunication, or lack of response. As someone who has worked in customer service for years, this was honestly alarming to experience from a service manager. A client expressing concern and asking questions should never be made to feel dismissed for simply wanting communication and consistency regarding services they are paying for. What is especially disappointing is that I had actually called with the intention of discussing future services and possible long-term treatment options because I initially felt confident and comfortable with Orkin after Nelson’s visits. However, after this interaction, I no longer feel confident moving forward beyond my next scheduled appointment. Again, this review isn’t to discredit Nelson whatsoever because he was excellent. It is to express genuine concern regarding the professionalism, communication, and treatment I experienced from management. No client should walk away from a conversation feeling unheard, disrespected, or belittled for asking valid questions regarding services in their own home.

Called once for information and a quote. We were just trying to weigh our options especially since calling on behalf of the home owner. The guy on the phone was doing nothing but trying to sell a product. “Oh I’ll bring down the price for you and what’s the problem, why can’t you buy anything right now?” We told the guy we will call back after discussing and he would not let us go. After hanging up, we received 5 calls within the next hour. We were thinking out going with this company until the guy on the phone was being way too pushy and receiving multiple calls within an hour. No respect was given to us to allow time to think about our options. Every other extermination company we called were nice about giving us time to think. These guys are way too pushy and irritating. Be careful with this company, there is something weird about them.

Orkin sent a sales contract expert to view my home and see which areas needed protectikn from roaches, ants, and mice. He made the service contract process very easy to understand with absolutely no sales pressure. They were on time and answered all my questions. Neo the actual exterminator came out to my home and fully explained the service call process. Neo is very professional and polite. Neo exterminated my whole entire home inside and outside. He explained everything he was doing to protect my home from roaches, ants, and mice. Neo explained to me what I need to do to better protect my home. (Caulking and sealing exposed areas and throw away card board boxes).
