I am writing about a Orkin contract for: squirrel removal, repair of a hole made by squirrels, and disinfectant application. This happened to my Mom, an 83 year old widow on a fixed income, with a hearing disability. The hole was improperly patched with screws extending through the roof that are visible from the ground. The trap was set and the contract indicated a check would be made on 3 occasions…..it has been 5 weeks and my Mom has not been contacted to date. She asked to pay by check, but provided a credit card due to the contract requiring one. Her card was charged $3,400 prior to the work. She is now distraught over losing that much money because she still has the problem! I have discussed with the branch manager in Montgomery without resolution. The contract included dispute resolution through arbitration or mediation. The manager said he was doing that…..which obviously doesn’t work. In fact, he offered a $300 refund because no one from Orkin came back to check the trap…3 trips at $100 each. No offer to rectify the problem…..just a refund of the trip cost because of non performance. He was not concerned with complaints made to the BBB, google or yelp. He indicated that those had been made before. He said that we needed to contact a lawyer and that my phone conversation was over. Well, I certainly wouldn’t want that kind of service from my branch manager. And we do have a consult with an attorney on Feb. 3. I am paying the fees. This shouldn’t happen to anybody, but to take advantage of an elderly widow on a fixed income, with a disability should be criminal. I hope that Orkin leadership sees this review and provides some action. At minimum, they need to do better. This has caused significant worry, concern and aggravation for my Mom who was simply trying to remove a dang squirrel.

Perry Justiss was amazing. Hands down the most professional and personable technician Orkin has. The level of in-site he provides while handing our pest issues was incredible. I would give them more stars if possible. Highly recommend to anyone looking to tackle pest problems or just have some preventative maintenance. 👍🏽

My schedule time was between 8-10 and when he arrived I told him that I had a schedule between 8 and 10 and he explained the reason for him coming after the scheduled time (arrived around 11) and I also explained to him when i received the appointment time I was unable to talk to a live person and he gave me his card (Randall McKinney) and he told me to call him directly if i had any problems or concerns and I really appreciated that .He was very nice,he came in,inspect everything and he was done in a timely manner and for that I was well pleased.Randall McKinney was professional and straight to the point. I give him a 9- ( only because he came after scheduled time) but his personality and professionalism made up for the scheduled mix up. I would definitely recommend orkin for your pest control, termites and etc. needs. I been with Orkin since 2014 and I have not had any issues that they couldn't handle,. Thank you!!!!

Gale was a phenomenal technician who listened to my needs and professional did a great job of explaining the pest problem and how he intended to solve it, I have full confidence he will do it and keep my house comfortable because I been living Alabama for two years with no problems then the flood gates open and I noticed a bug in my truck bombed it then two days Not today it was a week later two invaded my kitchen, so 1a I called and they were there that afternoon to assist me with my fears BUGS I feel so blessed because I was ready to leave everything behind move back to Ohio Thanks Gale

My husband and I paid in full for a five year contract in October 2021 for termite bait trap service with Orkin. We have not been receiving good customer service since that time. This is based on but not limited to this company not returning calls, not setting up appointments, technicians coming out without booties for their dirty shoes during home inspections, not having a hand scanner or one that works to locate unseen bait traps, and the list goes on and on. Due to the constant struggle to have this company do right, my husband and I will be using another company next year after our paid contract is up that will be more customer service friendly to Veterans, their families, and the community alike.
