So I signed up for termite prevention and was told no more charges and they turn around and charge more. Called to get an understanding was put on hold and transferred to someone who had no clue. Customer service is terrible and I recommend anyone but this company. I wish I could give negative stars!!!!

It's doesn't matter how much you pay, or what plan you get, they will find a way to charge you EVERYTIME they have to do something. Need a Termite inspection? Oh, that's free, UNLESS you need an actual REAL Termite inspection to refinance your house. The "real one" costs $$$, even if you have the bait traps, even if you have the pest control sprayers. The Termite inspection isn't free, I don't care what they advertise.

Do not use Terminix for a termite clearance if you want to actually be able to sell your house! I called November 11, 2021 to request an inspection and was scheduled for 11/15/21. The guy never showed up, so I called and they rescheduled me for 11/18/21. The inspector came out this time and did his inspection and said he would have his report at the title company within two days. I never heard anything so I assumed all was well. The inspector called me back 12 days later to ask what title company we were using because he couldn’t remember and still had not taken his report to them. Thankfully, we were doing a long escrow so it didn’t affect anything…YET! Then, closing day comes around (1/31/22) and the closing company notices they don’t have the clearance letter. Yes, I realize the closing company should have caught this earlier, especially considering I asked them on five different occasions if they had everything they needed. That’s a different issue. Anyway, I called Terminix to get the clearance letter and they couldn’t find me in their system at all. They had no documentation about the multiple phone calls back and forth or the inspector coming out, Nor were they willing to try to figure it out. So, my house did not close. My family of six with two cats and a dog are living in a motel waiting for a different company to come out and do the inspection so that we can close on our house and then pay for the new house. I am livid! This is insanely disorganized and unprofessional and it was very surprising for me because it’s such a large company. I will never use Terminix again! Oh, and they also charge double what every other company in town charges for this inspection. I was only paying the excessive price because I thought I could feel more secure with such a well-known company. Never again!!

Our experience has been a little good and a little bad. Our initial purchase of the service went smoothly. While no one called to set our appointment, Roy (pest technician)unexpectedly but thankfully came out the same week and sprayed. The following day the exclusion techs came out and sealed everything off and set termite traps/bait. I asked when we could expect mouse traps to be set and they said that was Roy’s job. When I confronted him it became evident he was hoping to pass that job along to exclusion crew. After trying to contact Jason, the pest manager, I never received a call back (it’s been a week since I initially called him). I called their 1800 number today and Beth Walters was an amazing customer service rep who tried diligently to get into contact with someone and help ease our minds that someone will be out soon. Our initial salesman, wade, has also been very helpful in trying to remedy the issue. While most services were accommodated quickly and thoroughly; the main reason we purchased the service has thus far been ignored by the service manager (Jason) and pest technician (Roy). I’m giving 4 stars for customer service rep (Beth) our salesman (wade) who has even offered to complete some services on his own to accommodate the lacking of others and 4 stars to the exclusion team (I regretfully didn’t catch their names). Hopefully our issue gets resolved swiftly so we can enjoy the benefits of contracting terminex and enjoy our home again!

We made the horrible mistake of hiring Terminix to spray for spiders and ants after they came door to door in our neighborhood with a “great deal”. For $98 per quarter they would come and do 4 treatments. They came and did the first treatment. I have never seen so many spiders and ants after that. We have ten times more than we did. I called terminix and after 30 minutes on hold I explained it wasn’t working and they stated that they spiders and ants were coming inside to get the bait which made no sense to me. However, they said they would send someone out within 72 hours. Two weeks went by without a single word from them. Call again and wait 36 minutes on hold. Finally get someone and tell them I want to cancel because obviously they aren’t going to do what they said. So they tell me fine but there is a $79 cancellation fee. Of course they never told me this when at my door. I told the woman I would love to speak with a manager or someone, as I felt charging a fee after I already paid them $98 to make spiders and ants way worse was not okay with me. She said none were available but that I would hear from them concerning this. Well, as you can guess, haven’t heard back. I am amazed that a company that large could have such horrible customer service.

A terminix man came and knocked on my door, saying he was doing discounted pest control in my neighborhood. I told him I was not interested at this time and he immediately asked when my husband would be home. I told him that was sexist and shut the door. The company I rent from does pest control. And I'm not married.

Terminex is WAY more expensive than the other exterminators in the area, with no extra benefit.
