I contacted Terminix for a bed bug issue in my home. While the infestation wasn’t severe, I felt it was time to bring in professionals. To their credit, the technicians did address the issue, and after three visits, the bed bugs were no longer visible. However, I am giving one star due to the manner in which the service was carried out. During the first two visits, technicians removed every item from drawers and shelves, leaving clothes and personal belongings scattered across the floor. While I understand the need to access certain areas to effectively treat the problem, the condition in which my home was left felt excessive—almost as if it had been ransacked. Interestingly, during the third visit (when the manager accompanied the technician), this didn’t happen, which raises questions about whether the earlier disruption was necessary at all. Unfortunately, the bed bugs have returned. While I do have a service plan in place, I’m hesitant to call for another treatment because of the disruption and the burden it places on my elderly husband to reorganize everything afterward. I appreciate that the team was effective in treating the infestation initially, but I hope Terminix can find a better balance between thoroughness and respect for customers’ homes in the future.
