My ex roommate's aunt spent a week with us one time and didn't tell us she had bed bugs. My ex roommate called them when we discovered our unwanted guests. I can't remember what they charged her to treat the house. Of the four times they were scheduled to come treat the house they only showed once. The other three times they were a no call no show. My roommate called someone else after the third no call no show.

The Orkin staff we had come out to our property was kind and courteous but obviously did not have the experience to back up the $8000 quote they tried to push us to sign that day. We were told we had a severe roof rat infestation (although we had never seen more than a small brown field mouse in the garage) that required a full replacement of all insulation in the attic along with gutter guards. After getting three other opinions from three different companies, we found actual evidence of a light mouse presence and nothing more. We will never be using Orkin, and I highly recommend taking the time to get a second opinion before anyone hires them. For $200 we hired Black Diamond Pest Control a month ago and they have eliminated any signs of rodents and will continue to monitor the situation through quarterly services. We have heard from many neighbors that Orkin has tried to pull the same sale scheme on them and this seems at best a dishonest business. It is also worth noting that the gutter guards they were trying to install would have voided our brand new roof’s warranty and that was never mentioned
