Spectracide Wasp And Hornet Killer Review
The Spectracide Wasp and Hornet Killer is an excellent choice for anyone dealing with a pest issue in and around their home.
This spray is highly effective at killing wasps and hornets directly from the nest. This provides you with immediate relief and peace of mind because you know they are gone, but the spray also gives you residual relief over time. The spray remains active on the nest and the surrounding area even after you have killed the entire nest.
Spectracide spray has an incredibly long 27-foot range. This not only allows you to get the spray into hard to reach places, but it allows you to spray the nest without having to get too close. You should have no issue spraying down a nest on the second story of your home while standing on the ground. This is great because you do not have to worry about being stung while trying to get rid of the nest.
The most important thing to consider when shopping around for an insect killer is how far it goes with the job. You do not want something that kills a few of the wasps and leaves the rest inside the nest. You need a spray that is going to destroy the entire nest in the first round because you do not want to deal with any angry wasps after the fact.
The Spectracide spray is excellent for this because the foam penetrates through the nest and poisons everything inside. This works great for larger nests where you cannot always spray directly into it-this spray allows you to corrode the nest from the outside in and within minutes the entire nest should fall.

Our Experience
When it comes to wasps and hornets, we do not like to play around with them so having something that had an extremely long range was one of the most important things for us. The spray does reach 27 feet, and it’s pretty incredible to watch it come from an aerosol can. The can spray effectively with little resistance. The only occasional slip up is when the foam builds up at the nozzle, but if you give the bottle a shake, it will start back up again.
After letting the spray soak into the nest for a while, we went back out to check on it in about an hour, and we could not find the nest anywhere. We soon realized that the nest that was on our rain gutters is now on the ground and there is nothing left to it. This spray did an excellent job of breaking down the nest and killing everything inside of it. The nest is no longer useful to the wasps, and they’ll have to start over now.
The spray did kill the entire nest on contact, and we did not see another nest in that area after. After splashing a little on my clothes while freaking out about killing the wasp nest, I inadvertently tested out the non-staining feature as well, and this spray does not stain your clothes.
Lastly, we want to touch on the long-term effects of this spray on the wasp nests in your yard. If you use the spray as a preventative maintenance tool in areas where you often find wasp nests, you will not have them there. Spray down specific areas that are trouble spots for you and follow up with it once a month, and you will not have any wasp or hornet issues.
