“Ripped Off!!!! PLEASE READ It always pays to do your homework! Yesterday, my wife went to PIP to purchase some pesticide for termites. She spent $155 for (1) 1.5lb bag of Timbor powder and (1) bottle 32oz of Permethrin SFR. She spoke to the owner, Wayne Teague for less than three minutes and he told her how to apply. We thought that $155 seemed high for small amount of Timbor and Permethrin. So, we looked it up on the internet and there were several companies that offered Timbor for $14 a bag and Permethrin for $27 to $38 for 32 oz. with free shipping. Remember, we paid $155 for both. PCP CHARGED 3 TIMES THAT AMOUNT!!!We could have purchased both in the same quantity for $50-$60. I WAS APALLED!!!!! Both of these pesticides are freely available and you don’t need a pesticide applicators license to purchase. I went to return what we purchased to PIP and was told we had to pay a $25 re-stocking fee. This place is in an old gas station. The re-stocking fee is walking over and placing it back on the shelf. I told Mr. Teague I did not want to pay the re-stocking fee and told him how much I had found it for on the internet and that I couldn’t believe he gouged us for $155. He wouldn’t let me speak so I raised my voice and then the fun began. He threatened to call the Police. I said, go ahead. He threatened to throw me out, I said I’d leave. At no time did I use profanity or insult Mr. Teague, but I did tell him he was gouging people. He proceeded to tell me that we were paying for his knowledge and expertise. He used an analogy explaining that people pay different amounts for gas. I countered with do people pay three times more per gallon for gas? He really didn’t know what to say and told me I would have to call experts in and that I didn’t know what I was doing. He would not give me my $155 back. And hit me with his re-stocking fee. Then, he asked me what I did for a living and where I lived. Noting that he appeared unstable, I told him it was none of his business. When I left he called me a “Dickhead” then tried to block me my car in with his truck. I was still able to back up and leave. Then, he followed me for several minutes. Does exposure to certain pesticides have a long term effect on ones brain/behavior? Can you imagine what Mr. Teague charges (markup)for his other services? Can you imagine what some people might pay? The elderly? I ended up using a “do it yourself” place on the internet that had same day free shipping for $52”

“If you like predatory sales tactics, scams and being ripped off then this place is for you. Buyer beware. I can't believe they are still licensed to do business based on the number of better business bureau complaints that have been filed with them. So much for trying to support a local business. I may not get my money back but hopefully have helped someone on here avoid a similar experience.”
